My Creative Process, Part 2

.....and its finished!! Ok, so it was done yesterday and I've already moved on to a new project (or three!) but I dont have many chances to sit down and write, so here it is Wednesday already :o) After drawing out how I wanted the apron to look, I grabbed my rotary blade and started slicing! I have general apron dimensions that I always follow, and this was no exception. I cut the body first, the ties, a few extra ruffles, and 3 circles for a NEW kind of flower I want to try :o) An hour later, this is my finished product!!
An apron I'd be proud to hang in my own kitchen!! :o) The flower was SO easy. I sewed circles together, bunched them up in the back and stitched them on! Add a matching button for extra cuteness.. I'll definitly be using this idea again! Also, as you can see, the neck strap was made adjustable, with a simple ring to draw up the strap and tie off at the desired length.
Here's a closeup of the bottom ruffles..I figured out a really simple way to attach these while hiding the raw edge,..but then, that's MY secret ;o)
All in all, a project I'm proud of.. I'll be displaying it for sale at a women's tea party on Friday. I'm pretty sure it won't come home with me! Thanks for joining me on this adventure; be on the lookout for MORE in the future!!
